Like Assetto Corsa this has a reputation for being a hardcore racing simulator. Rfactor is a product which constantly evolves. Single and multiplayer options are included with a huge variety of cars and tracks available to download.
Graphics are good but not as good as Assetto Corsa, Project Cars or raceroom in our opinion. The game does run very smoothly however and we encountered no slowdowns or glitches on our test system even on maximum settings.
It seems all the racing sims we have tested are all excellent in the sound department and Rfactor 2 has authentic sounds you would expect from a race car.
Menus and Options
We like the interface for Rfactor 2, Easy to read and easy to set up controllers and other options like graphics, difficulty and controllers.
You can configure race sessions and include practice, qualifying as well as the race and customise how many cars you want to race against as well as the weather conditions. So many customisation options are available for you to set up your races. Also included is a full day and night cycle for 24 hour races with dynamic weather. It is also been used in hundred of esport championships all over the world and in particular McLaren's World's Fastest Gamer and Forumale E! Race tracks, country roads as well as Oval racetracks can be raced on. You wont be disappointed with the amount of tracks and cars you can race with this sim.
Advanced Physics engine, tyre model, complex aerodynamics, TRACKIR support, good controller support.
Having driven most of the racing simulators in the market, we beleive this is in the top 3. Feels like a car, drives like a car. The AI is good and not stupid. With Steam workshop there is a large cariety of cars and tracks available to download.
